“ We are going to proceed to warm up the biggest mug of
coffee in the world to have the record here in Panama
where it ought to be ” - Organisers
Panama City, Panama -- A coffee producer in Panama
attempted to set a new record for producing the world's
biggest mug of coffee on Sunday.
It took
four hours for the 136 kilogrammes of Arabica coffee to
make 2,840 litres of fresh brewed coffee in the mug
measuring 274 centimetres by 146 cm.
"We are going to proceed to warm up the biggest mug of
coffee in the world to have the record here in Panama
where it ought to be," said one of the organisers of the
event.
The record breaking attempt was organised by the Cafe
Duranin coffee producers.
The current Guinness Book of World Records entry was
achieved in 1994 in New York when a mug containing 2,500
litres of coffee was brewed.
According to organisers, the company will submit its
record-breaking attempt to officials this month. |
